Kwiish ZA never fails to surprise us with his innovative music creations. This year, in 2024, he has announced that his upcoming studio album, MOHLAHLi, is almost ready for release and will be available on May 31st.
Born Lehlohonolo Marota, Kwiish SA has been deeply involved in music since his early years in Vosloorus. Growing up in a musical environment in Soweto, his father’s influence as a club owner exposed him to DJ and production equipment. In 2017, he officially launched his professional career with the release of “Isikhathi,” a track that helped establish Amapiano in the South African music scene.
Kwiish SA’s Amapiano style incorporates a unique fusion of Gqom, Deep House, and jazzy keyboard elements. As a pioneer of the Amapiano genre, he has consistently delivered hit songs, maintaining the genre’s popularity.
As we enter the second half of 2024, Kwiish ZA is gearing up to release a new album, “MohlahLi,” following the success of his previous project, Majita Monday, which was released in September 2023.
