“K’sukela Kdala,” a new song by New Age Kwaito star Mac 11 featuring Dando RSA, Okmalumkoolkat, and Lord Script, has been released. Tom Nqo produced the song, which has eye-catching graphics to go along with it.
Mac 11 spits “Sirolla ihlahla suMandela” over the catchy melodies of the song. “K’sukela Kdala” has equally raw graphics to go along with its poetic authenticity. The video, which was produced and directed by Tiny Films, alternates between shots of the rappers stationed in an industrial junkyard and a white studio apartment, presenting an arresting juxtaposition between poverty and wealth. It’s essentially an unvarnished display of Durban hip-hop culture, complete with difficulties, hustle, and street code.
